4 Best Barn Wedding Venues In Berkshire

Barn wedding offer a plethora of photo opportunities as they often have beautiful distinct and authentic feature that separate them from any traditional venue. I have seen many as a wedding photographer and what strikes me about them is how unique they are and how well the bride and groom have been able to put their own mark on the venue.

I have described why I believe you should choose a barn venue in my blog the “7 Reasons to choose a beautiful barn wedding”.

I currently live in Windsor and am a professional photographer within the Berkshire county. As a way to hopefully help I have compiled a list of 4 Incredible barn venues that you can find to have your wedding in or at least consider.

Wasing park

Wasing Estate’s versatile grounds are full of historic gems including their Victorian Summerhouse and Castle Barn so offers great variety in the wedding shots.

There are three beautiful options to hold your ceremony at this venue but one of the bests is the Castle Barn. This immaculate space can hold the wedding breakfast and whether you’re choosing a formal fine dining or more casual event this venue can support it all.

No matter what stamp you want to put on your wedding they should all work well against the gorgeous authentic inertias. You will also have you evening event here which offers the opportunity to capture the more intimate moments.

One selling point of this venue is there have historically been a number of discounts that can be made if you are prepared to have you wedding on a December or January which may sway your options.

Lillibrooke manor and great barn

Lillibrooke Manor and Great Barn is a beautiful grade II listed manor House suitable for any authentic and unique wedding. Located in Maidenhead, there is a number of spectacular grounds perfectly suited for wedding photos. This venue is part medieval building soaked in rich history which will assure that all guests are left with a long lasting impression.

The Great Barn can accommodate up to 200 guests to enjoy the festivities of the day. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art PA system and custom lighting. The adjoining hexagonal Animal Engine Room is ideal for a drinks reception.

This venue is perfect for those couples with a huge number of guests. In particular given the expansive gardens you can bring the party outside and hire a marquee to make the event even larger.

Cantley house hotel and barn

Cantley House Hotel and barn, set within 50 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside, is a beautiful venue for your perfect wedding day. Located on the outskirts of Wokingham and just a short distance away from Reading, Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead, this privately owned, 36 bedroom boutique hotel offers everything you could need for your special day.

This wedding moves from the ceremony which is held in the grand house to the barn for the wedding breakfast and evening event. The barn itself is smaller than the other ones featured on this list but it is equally as beautiful. I have seen weddings here look really classy with very little requirement to change any of the original features.

The Tudor Barn

Tudar Barn is a spectacular venue. The staff ensure everything is taken care of and not request is to much. Even more so it really makes a wedding photographers life easy – you can capture beautiful images.

This authentic wedding venue located in Buckinghamshire is distinct with bundles of character. This charming Tudor Barn is easy to reach by using M4, M40, M25 and Heathrow and is halfway between slough and Maidenhead.

This Barn was built circa 1505 and still holds some of its original features. Their towering original timber beams that fills the mezzanine banquet hall and impeccable gardens makes this an unbelievable back drop for wedding

There are six acres of gorgeous grounds to enjoy, and your and your guests will have the private use of these for the entire day. This is completely exclusive to you and your party – so you can really let your hair down and not worry about people snooping.

The main banquet halls hold up to 130 guests for your wedding breakfast, with the capacity for another 50 guests for an evening reception. The garden room is used for Civil Ceremonies (90 guests) and opens out onto a spacious patio and lawn. There is also the added extra of a wedding gazebo if there was to be further guests to accommodate.
