There is an huge array of wedding venues to choose from in the area of Berkshire. I am certain that there is a wedding venue for everyone no matter what your price range is or what your perfect wedding involves. I have detailed below some of my favourite venues in the area. These venues are generally premium and grand venues that are perfect for wedding photography. These are a must see for anyone choosing to have a wedding in the area.
This iconic wedding venue sits upon 300 acres of stunning historic parkland. The building itself is a gorgeous 200-year-old white stone buildings that encapsulates what elegance and luxury is. The back drop itself is perfect for any photo album and will have your friends talking for months afterwards.
I really believe this is one of the grandest wedding venues. It really has it all from the wow factor as you arrive through the sweeping driveway, authentic interiar design and incredible rooms for hosting guests.
You know when you are getting a wedding venue like Stoke Park that every detail will be though out. You won’t need to worry any details. The food will be incredible as it currently holds 3 AA Roseetes for fine dining. Everyone will be having an absolute superb time.
This venue is probably the most premium and spectacular venue you can have if you are willing to spend the money, as it will cost £25,000 for the venue alone – excluding catering and additions.
The ratings for this place speak from themselves:
Tatler’s No 1 Wedding Venue
Vogue Dream Wedding Venue
Voted No.2 Regal Wedding Venue in the UK by The Times
Even Jonny Depp has given this a favourable rating calling it “the most amazing place”.
You will be hard pressed to find a venue that looks good from any angle. The building itself is a stunning country house luxury wedding venue in Buckinghamshire. There is also a 12th century St. Nicholas’ Church, just 300m from the house for Church weddings. So, there is a real contrast between the medieval church and House. Given that they are surrounded by vast luscious lawns you can always wonder out and have a once in a life time backdrop on the most important day of your life.
The interiors are also a blank canvas although holding authentic features. The team and Hedsor House will work with you intimately to ensure that you have the perfect wedding and you can really put your stamp on the place meaning that you can have a wedding album like none other.
Great Fosters is a beautiful venue with bundles of character. It possesses a plethora of original details and features and is designated as a Scheduled Historic Monument and Grade 1 listed building.
This red brick building is set amongst 50 acres of stunning gardens and parkland in Egham, it is the perfect setting for a wedding. Features of the expansive gardance include a Japanese bridge, lake, fountain and Saxon moat – provide an idyllic backdrop for photographs.
This venue has also been rated a 9/10 on Telegraph and you can see why. This is an AA 4 red star property is perfect for wedding of all sizes from 2 to 180 guests. Great Fosters has a large range of rooms to fit you desires. My personal favorite being the Tithe Barn and Painted Hall as it has gorgeous wooden beams and is quite special.
Priced at around £17,000 at peak times for weddings this is one of the more reasonable priced venues on the list and is definetly worth considering.
De Vere Beaumont estate
De Vere Beaumont Estate is a beautiful 18th century mansion, a chapel, 75 event spaces and a Georgian white house all situated within 40 acres of beautiful parkland grounds. Originally built as a public school in 1854 this architectural wonder is situated 10 minutes outside of Windsor town centre and is incredible flexible for taking for unmistakeable pictures.
The remarkable thing about this venue is that it can accommodate a whopping 550 guests. So this venue makes my list as it has an immense amount of character whilst being able to cater and entertain all the guest that any bride and groom will have.
For larger weddings, for up to 550 guests, are ideally suited to the recently refurbished Hanover Suite, located in the main house. This is a modern space with floods of natural light, the suite has direct access to the Hanover Bar which opens out onto the patio. Guests can step out on a beautifuyl summers day and have refreshing glass of prosseco and reflect on the days activities – these kind of opportunitieisare great for documentary style shots.
My fifth and final wedding venue is Oakley Court which is situated near the town of Windsor. As this is placed just alongside the Thames there is an incredible contrasts of features that can ensure that this is the perfect spot for weddings and photography.
The building itself is an incredible medival building that is one of a kind. It will amaze and stun all of your guests. With its gargoyles and wooden artwork in the expansive lawn there are some really unique features you will not find anywhere else.
The inside is just as stunning and offers a pletheror of opportunity. I would suugest hiring out their front room which is often used for afternoon tea in order to hold your ceremony. It does cost an extra £6,000 that will bring the total cost of this venue to over £20,000, however it provides beautiful lighting that every photographer looks for.
I hope that my list has provided you with some insight and ideas for places you can hold your venue out.
